Chips for Frying

Love your chips from a fryer or pan? Thick cut and classically made, with fluffy potato inside and a delightful crisp outer, these fried chips have that real ‘chippy’ taste. Just add salt and vinegar, and you’d think you were in a chip shop.

How to Cook

Here’s how to cook 500g of McCain Chips for Frying. If cooking a different amount, adjust the cooking time accordingly.
To get the best results cook from frozen, our instructions are guidelines only. For the most delicious results, do not overcook!

DEEP FRY

Heat the oil in the pan or fryer to around 175°C / 350°F.
Place your chips into the basket and let them sizzle away for 4 – 5 minutes, until they’re lovely, crisp and light golden.
Lift the basket, shake off the oil and they’re ready to eat.

CAUTION: DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED WHEN FRYING.

AIRFRYER
Preheat the airfryer to 200°C/ 390°F. Place your chips into the basket and pop into the fryer.
Fry for 9 minutes, shaking every now and again, until they’re lovely, crisp and light golden.
