Ingredients

Potatoes (85%), Sunflower Oil (8.6%), Batter (WHEAT Flour (Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), WHEAT Starch, Salt, Garlic Powder, Spices (Paprika, Cumin, Cayenne, Mace), Onion Powder, Herbs (Bay, Thyme), Flavouring, Spice Extracts (Black Pepper, Ginger), Herb Extracts (Sage, Oregano), Natural Colour (Paprika Extract).

Last year’s growing season experienced exceptionally wet weather which has affected all agricultural crops, including potatoes. The challenging harvesting conditions have resulted in the presence of more natural potato defects. Defects are naturally occurring and are not harmful. We are continuing to work together with our growers across the country to maintain the highest standards of quality possible.

How to Cook

The following cooking instructions are for 350g of McCain Southern Fries. For smaller quantities reduce the cooking time accordingly. For best results cook from frozen. DO NOT overcook!

OVEN

Preheat the oven to 230°C / 445°F / Gas Mark 8.

For fan assisted ovens that’s 220°C / 430°F.

Spread your  Southern Fries evenly in a single layer onto a baking tray and pop it into the top of the oven. Bake for 14 – 18 minutes, turning them every now and again, until they’re lovely, crisp and light golden.
