Enjoy a tasty, easy and flavourful skewers with Hash Brown bites.
INGREDIENTS
For the Chicken:
2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized strips 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder (optional) Salt and pepper to taste
For the Skewers: 300g McCain Air Fryer Hash Brown Bites 1 red bell pepper, chopped into chunks 1 small red onion, chopped into chunks 200g cherry tomatoes, halved Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 20 minutes (to stop them burning) Sriracha (sauce for drizzling)
Toss chicken strips in a bowl with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chilli powder, salt, and pepper.
Let it sit for 20–30 minutes (or longer for extra flavour).
Soften the Tots:
Preheat the Air Fryer to 200°C for 5 minutes.
Cook the McCain Air Fryer Hash Brown Bites for 2 minutes — just to slightly soften them (they should still be firm enough to handle, but not frozen solid).
Assemble the Skewers:
Carefully thread softened bites, marinated chicken strips, red peppers, tomatoes and red onion chunks onto soaked wooden skewers. Alternate the ingredients for a colourful look!
Lightly spray the skewers with a bit of oil.
Air fry skewers at 200°C for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway through, until chicken is cooked through, and bites are golden and crispy.
Serve the skewers drizzled with the sriracha sauce and your favourite side salad.
