INGREDIENTS
For the Chicken:
2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized strips
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

1 red bell pepper, chopped into chunks
1 small red onion, chopped into chunks
200g cherry tomatoes, halved
Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 20 minutes (to stop them burning)

METHOD
Prep the Chicken:
-
Toss chicken strips in a bowl with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chilli powder, salt, and pepper.
-
Let it sit for 20–30 minutes (or longer for extra flavour).
Soften the Tots:
-
Preheat the Air Fryer to 200°C for 5 minutes.
-
Cook the McCain Air Fryer Hash Brown Bites for 2 minutes — just to slightly soften them (they should still be firm enough to handle, but not frozen solid).
Assemble the Skewers:
-
Carefully thread softened bites, marinated chicken strips, red peppers, tomatoes and red onion chunks onto soaked wooden skewers. Alternate the ingredients for a colourful look!
-
Lightly spray the skewers with a bit of oil.
-
Air fry skewers at 200°C for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway through, until chicken is cooked through, and bites are golden and crispy.
-
Serve the skewers drizzled with the sriracha sauce and your favourite side salad.
