McCain's Top
Elf on the Shelf Ideas
It’s official. Your Elf doesn’t want magic dust this year. They want chips. Crispy, golden, spud-tastic mayhem. The countdown to Elfmas just got crunchier.
Here are our top spudsessed ideas each paired with a carefully chosen McCain product to bring the scene to life.
Elf on the Shelf Ideas
Chip Jenga
Use a bag of McCain Home Chunky Chips they’re thick, chunky shape makes them perfect for building a wobbling tower. Then perch your Elf on top, looking smug or slightly terrified. The chips aren’t just snacks they’re building blocks of chaos.
Bonus round: Dare the kids to carefully remove one chip without sending the tower tumbling.
Warm Elf Up with a Jacket
Carefully cut a McCain Slow Baked Jacket Potato down the middle and place your Naughty Elf snugly inside like he’s wrapped up in his very own cosy spud coat. Add a little note such as “I was cold, but found a jacket” to finish the scene with a giggle. It’s the comfiest (and crispiest) winter warmer an Elf could ask for.
Salt & Pepper Snow Angels
Use a bag of McCain Shake Shake Fries Salt & Black Pepper and open the seasoning sachet. Sprinkle the sachet contents onto a plate to create a “snowy” surface. Lay your Elf down and let him wiggle his arms and legs to leave tiny snow-angel marks. Maybe scatter a few fries around the edges like frosted trees or crunchy borders for extra festive flair.
Noughts & Crosses Potato Style
Use a bag of McCain Potato Smiles to turn snack time into game time. Lay out a simple grid on a chopping board (ribbons, sauce lines or even chips can make the perfect board). Place the Smiles as the noughts and let your Naughty Elves use ketchup to mark the crosses.
Bonus round: See if your Elf plays fair… or pulls a cheeky move to take the win!
Elf’s Crisp Ironing Service
Your Elf has taken matters into their own hands! Set out a pile of McCain Crinkle Cut Chips on one side and a pile of Straight Cut Chips on the other. Place your Naughty Elf holding an iron as if they’ve been “straightening out” the crinkles. Add a little sign like “I ironed your chips ’cause they were all crinkled” to finish the joke and guarantee giggles at breakfast.
