Sunflower Oil Substitution

The UK’s supply of sunflower oil has been affected due to the war in Ukraine. Food Standards Agency (FSA) have advised sunflower oil can be substituted with other refined oils, including rapeseed oil, without changing labels due to urgency with supply. McCain are in the process of updating our packaging, however some products which usually contain sunflower oil may also contain refined rapeseed oil. To help identify these products, please check the best before box on the packaging as it will state if rapeseed oil is in the product for example ‘RAPESEED OIL’. This means that a blend of rapeseed oil and sunflower oil has been used in the product.
