McCain celebrates 30 years of Oven Chips with 30% extra free
It’s the 30th birthday of the Oven Chip and not any old oven chip – McCain Oven
Chips!! We launched the UK’s first oven chip, McCain Oven Chips, 30 years ago and
to celebrate McCain is giving consumers 30% extra free for a limited period this
winter.
With 5% fat and no cholesterol, McCain Oven Chips are championed by the category
leaders as being a healthy version of the nation’s favourite food. Oven Chips have
always been great value for the family but now consumers can make each pack go a
little further with 30% extra free.
The promotional offer will feature on four different McCain Oven Chips packs; Straight
Cut 907g and 1.81kg, and Crinkle Cut 907g and 1.81kg. Available in store from early
November, customers will now get 1.18kg in 907g packs and 2.35kg in 1.81kg packs
while stocks last.

the launch of Oven Chips in 1979, McCain has continually invested in and supported
the oven chip category. To celebrate 30 years of McCain Oven Chips we want to give
something back to the consumer and what better way than to give more of the nation’s
favourite food."
As with all McCain products, McCain Oven Chips are made using only real ingredients
and are true to the McCain ‘It’s all good’ promise: simply cut potato and sunflower
oil (no flavourings go in!). Oven Chips are made with specially selected potatoes
and a dash of sunflower oil and that's why they are naturally packed with taste.
