Welcome to McCain

Our community

When you consider all our farmers and our people (we employ around 2000 people in the UK), we have a pretty big community. That means we have a lot of responsibility too. We get involved with our community locally in lots of ways, including the McCain Community Fund, which contributes to good causes all over the country.

The Potato Story

Our passion for potatoes goes further than making them into some of Britain’s best-loved chips. Like anyone who loves what they do, we want to tell everyone about just how much we love the humble spud. It looks like there’s a need for this: the British Heart Foundation recently discovered that one in three UK children didn’t know that chips come from potatoes. To help put this right, we devised The Potato Story; a fun, interactive account of a potato’s journey from farm to fork.

Getting active where it matters

McCain is proud to be principle partner of UK Athletics through a £5million five year sponsorship commitment. We’re actively helping create the champions of tomorrow by inspiring more people to get involved in athletics. This includes at grassroots level, via the Young Athletes League and the UKA UK Challenge, as well as partnering Team GB and NI.

In the summer of 2011, we took our Track and Field Roadshow all over the country, visiting eight locations and introducing over 11,000 people to athletics.
